Welcome to the Western Service Area (WSA) website . We serve over 3,500 youth and support hundreds of volunteers throughout the Western side of Longhorn Council .
Our goal is to provide the best Scouting experience possible and instill Scouting values via our various programs, such as Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturing and Learning for Life. Who We Are

The WSA includes Brazos Valley, Silver Star, Trailblazer, and Trinity Trails districts.
Territory: The Western Service Area is comprised of parts of six counties: Johnson, Hood, Erath, Palo Pinto, Parker, and Tarrant. Our Service Area covers from Gordon to North Richland Hills , and from Granbury to Azle, Texas. Our History |
For over a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes — and, through over a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society. The Western Service Areas (WSA) was created with the introduction of the new staffing model in January 2015 .
